On A Roll

Drew had another fairly good day. He is kind of in cruise control and not regressing but not improving a whole lot either, but we are thrilled that he is doing well! He still has some difficulties with his lungs which we believe could take a while to mature. His tummy remains his favorite position and he was pretty calm all day. They have planned to do another possible head ultra sound on Monday to make sure everything is still going well. He loves when we hold his hands we think he has a big sense of humor because he likes to pee on the nurses! Tthank you all for everything, we keep praying that little Drew will continue to progress.

this might be totally random but i am friends with heather and james and got your website from theirs. i had a little girl at 29 weeks. not exactly what your going through, but she was 2 1/2 lbs. we went through the nicu rollercoaster as well. but the reason i wanted to write to you is we met some good friends while we were there. we were stationed next to a sweet little guy named sawyer, he was a 24 weeker. and they had alot of ups and downs like the ones i have read on your blog. but he did amazingly well and now at almost 2 he is a perfect little boy. a total miricle! and i have to say that most of our friends we met did really well, most of them boys. looking back it is crazy the strength you have as parents going through this. i really do believe it is because of the support and prayers. drew is adorable, i will keep him in my prayers. stay strong for him. the nurses are all awsome, i felt so confident with them taking care of our little girl. i will keep checking back for updates.
